World Sight Day – Celebrate With Vision Health Institute

Young child wearing eye glasses.Vision Health Institute is excited to celebrate World Sight Day on October 9, 2015. Our doctors and entire staff are participating in the World Sight Day Challenge again this year and would like to invite you to join us and share our excitement. It is easy and rewarding.

Did you know? The World Sight Day Challenge is the largest annual global fundraising campaign that addresses avoidable blindness caused by uncorrected refractive error – the simple need for an eye exam and glasses. If you value good vision, please consider participating!

Join VHI in Raising Funds!

Our office will be accepting donations through the month of October. If you prefer, you may make a donation directly to the World Sight Day Challenge. At the end of October, we will send in our combined funds with hopes of being a top contributor. The practice that raises the most funds will go into a drawing for a travel stipend for one staff member to visit one of the regional funded projects. Go VHI!!

The funds we send to Optometry Giving Sight will help support programs that:

  • Train local eye care professionals
  • Establish vision centers
  • Deliver eye care and low cost glasses

For more information about this particular charity, please visit their website.

We celebrate healthy eyesight every day and feel driven to participate in this worthwhile charity. We hope you will too. Just imagine what your world would be like without great vision.

More than 600 million people around the world are blind or vision impaired, simply because they do not have access to an eye examination and glasses!

Orlando is filled with opportunities for individuals to receive free or low cost eye exams. We are fortunate. Many other areas in the world do not have affordable eye care services. By participating in this challenge, we hope to give the gift of vision to many others throughout the world.

Celebrate World Sight Day with Vision Health Institute. Schedule your eye exam, and while you’re in our office, make a donation. Any amount is welcome. You’ll not only walk out of our building seeing great, you’ll also feel great knowing you made a difference in someone else’s life.
